In Memory of Respected Sayyed Hidayatullah Hadi Sahib

Sayyed Hidayatullah Hadi Sahib was a Musi and had served as the editor of the Ahmadiyya Gazette Canada since 1988.

In addition to offering his obligatory prayers at the mosque, he offered Tahajjud daily, with unwavering dedication.  He was deeply engaged in the study of the Holy Qur’an, along with its commentaries and personal notes.

He possessed a profound love for Khilafat and was extremely punctual in writing letters to Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih (may Allah be his Helper). He was blessed to witness the blessed eras of four Khulafa-e-Ahmadiyyat.

He was a dedicated and a pioneer member of the Canada Jama’at. He would begin his daily Jama’at work at the computer with prayers, always seeking Allah’s help.

He delivered lectures on research methodology at Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada, Rabwah, and Qadian. As an academic and a literary personality, his reference articles were published in Jama’at journals in London, Rabwah, the USA, and Canada.

He also served as a member of the Qaza Board and contributed to the History of Jama’at Ahmadiyya Canada.

With a compassionate nature, he frequently visited patients in hospitals and offered condolences at the homes of the bereaved. He regularly prayed for his family, friends and colleagues, quietly and sincerely carrying out acts of service, never seeking recognition.

In addition to serving the Jama’at throughout his working life, after retirement, he volunteered daily at the Canada Jama’at’s National Headquarters in Toronto.

He was exceptionally humble, cooperative, kind-hearted and always helpful to relatives and friends.

Above all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will always be remembered with deep affection by all who knew him.
