Special Message of Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V at the Occasion of Jalsa Salana Canada 2026

I am very pleased that you are convening your Annual Jalsa Salana on 10^th, 11^th, 12 July 2026. It is my heartfelt prayer, may Allah bless your Jalsa with every success and may all the participants receive immense blessings.

Every Ahmadi should pledge to strive tirelessly to fulfil the purpose of the sacred mission of the Promised Messiah عَلَيْهِ‭ ‬الصَّلٰوةُ‭ ‬وَالسَّلَام which was — firstly, to call on mankind to recognize and worship our Creator, the One God, and secondly, to fulfil the rights of our fellow human beings — so as to establish peace and harmony on this earth.

In this regard, the Promised Messiah عَلَيْهِ‭ ‬الصَّلٰوةُ‭ ‬وَالسَّلَام has stated:

‘The very purpose for which God Almighty has established this Community is for the true comprehension of God that has vanished from this world and for true righteousness and purity that is no longer found in this day and age, to be established once again.’ [Malfuzat, vol. 7, pp. 277-278]

I encourage you to form a personal relationship with Allah Almighty and endeavour to become the best of Ahmadi Muslims. You should increase your supplications and maintain the remembrance of Allah constantly within your hearts. This Jalsa should enable you to increase your level of Taqwa, which is righteousness, and cause the true fear of Allah to develop within your hearts. In fact, your sole aim should be to obtain the pleasure of Allah, who is our Creator.

The Promised Messiah عَلَيْهِ‭ ‬الصَّلٰوةُ‭ ‬وَالسَّلَام has stated:

‘Man should search for the spiritual water; he will certainly find it. He should search for spiritual bread; it will certainly be granted. As there is a law of nature for physical needs, there is also a law of nature for spiritual needs, but seeking is the prerequisite. One who seeks, shall certainly find. God Almighty will certainly be pleased with one who strives to establish a bond with Him.’ [Malfuzat, vol. 10, p. 113, English Translation, UK, 2022]

For any Ahmadi, in fact, for any Muslim, the most basic obligation is to fulfil the rights of the worship of Allah. Thus, you must be regular in offering your five daily prayers. Further, you must offer Namaz sincerely and in a state of complete submission to Allah the Almighty, and not in a hurried way just so you can claim to have fulfilled your obligation.

Particularly during the days of the Jalsa, in addition to the obligatory prayers and Nawafil, you should remain continually engaged in the remembrance of Allah. Your thoughts should be pure and your attention should be directed towards Allah, the Almighty. By doing so, you will be protected from evil. This is in fact the reason for worshipping Allah. Frequent remembrance of Allah turns one’s attention towards regularity in obligatory prayers. If a person is engaged in regular worship, it in turn diverts him to the remembrance of Allah.

You should strive constantly to reform yourselves and achieve the highest levels of Taqwa so that you can become the best model for Muslims in the world. As Ahmadi Muslims, you are expected to set the highest example of goodness, honesty, integrity and most importantly piety and righteousness. It is essential to self-reflect and assess your own everyday behaviour and then try to improve your character and actions so that you can attain those lofty ideals which the Promised Messiah عَلَيْهِ‭ ‬الصَّلٰوةُ‭ ‬وَالسَّلَام expected from the members of his Jama’at. Your words should match your deeds so that you may become the true and noble representatives of Islam.

In this era, Allah the Almighty has blessed us with the institution of Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya. Thus, every Ahmadi should remain faithful, loyal, and obedient to Khilafat and must continually elevate their bond of love and sincerity with Khalifatul Masih. That is the key to our continued progress, and it is the only pathway which will lead us towards the everlasting success of our Community. In this regard, be advised that our pledge of complete obedience and devotion to the Promised Messiah عَلَيْهِ‭ ‬الصَّلٰوةُ‭ ‬وَالسَّلَام and our establishing a close bond with him which he required from his followers, and which surpasses any other worldly relationship and connection — must continue with the same commitment and dedication in our relationship with the Khalifa of the time. This is because Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya is the spiritual successor of the Promised Messiah عَلَيْهِ‭ ‬الصَّلٰوةُ‭ ‬وَالسَّلَام.

In conclusion, I pray may Allah enable you to benefit fully from the proceedings of your Jalsa and may He strengthen and reinforce your faith. May Allah enable you to bring about a genuine transformation in your lives towards more piety, virtuous behaviour, and the service of Islam Ahmadiyyat and humanity. May Allah bless you all.
