Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his Helper) said:
“In order to fill our hearts with the light of Allah the Almighty, and to understand which actions Allah has forbidden and which actions He has commanded, we should learn and read the Holy Qur’an.
“Those who understand the translation of the Holy Qur’an should teach it to others. The practice of delivering daily dars [lessons]from the Holy Qur’an should be established in Jama’ats, even if only for a few minutes, so that those who are unable to read and understand it themselves may also receive this beautiful teaching with its explanation.
“In any case, every Ahmadi should recite the Holy Qur’an daily so that its blessings may descend upon them and their hearts may become increasingly filled with righteousness [taqwa].
In fact, the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) has also stated that even if a person is not a believer, but approaches the Qur’an with fairness and sincerity rather than ignorance, envy, or prejudice, this itself constitutes an elementary form of taqwa. Thus, if a person reads the Holy Qur’an with justice and an open mind, Allah the Almighty grants him the light of guidance.”
