Celebrating Two Years of Empowering Our Youth
July 1, 2026 marked a significant milestone for our youth: the second anniversary of the launch of AMJ Student Services. Designed and executed by the Association of Ahmadi Muslim Educators (AAME) Canada, this web-based Jama’at platform serves as a central access point for professional educational services and a comprehensive bank of resourcestailored specifically for Ahmadi Muslim students.
Our core mission remains clear: to empower students to navigate their academic journeys with confidence, achieve personal and academic success, and proudly embrace their Ahmadi Muslim identity and values. Designed to complement the Canadian education system, AMJ Student Services ensures that our youth receive support that is highly professional, culturally responsive, and deeply rooted in our faith.
Core Pillars of Service
AMJ Student Services leverages a vast network of qualified professionals from the AAME, including certified teachers, professors, educational assistants, licensed psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers who volunteer their expertise in the spirit of Service to Humanity.
Through this collective expertise, the platform offers three core pillars of support:
1. Guidance and Career Counselling
Navigating educational pathways can be daunting, which is why we provide tiered mentorship and advisory services at all levels of education:
- General Pathway Guidance: Designed for secondary school students exploring the four primary postsecondary pathways: University, College, Apprenticeship, or the Workplace, delivered by an accredited counsellor.
- Postsecondary Mentorship Program: Pairs Grade 11 and 12 students directly with Ahmadi Muslim peers currently studying in diverse postsecondary programs. The AMJ Student Services platform provides a comprehensive list of available programs to choose from.
- Professional Career Counselling: Connects postsecondary students with established Ahmadi professionals working across various fields for career planning and Log into AMJ Student Services for a list of available professionals.
2. Culturally Responsive Mental Health & Well-being Support
One of our most vital features is confidential, one-on-one mental health counselling for students from elementary to postsecondary levels. Provided by a licensed psychotherapist, social worker, or psychologist, this service addresses acute social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
- Faith-Aligned Guidance: A shared cultural and religious understanding allows our professionals to recognize unique lived experiences, family dynamics, and faith-based perspectives. This ensures all guidance aligns with Islamic principles and the blessed instructions of Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his Helper).
- Short-Term Intervention: Our focus is on addressing immediate, acute issues through short-term support (typically a few sessions). While we do not provide long-term clinical therapy for chronic conditions, our team happily provides guidance and referrals to external community resources when needed. A comprehensive list of mental health resources can also be accessed through the AMJ Student Services platform.
3. Equity, Inclusivity, and Identity Support
We believe every student deserves a safe, and respectful learning environment. The platform offers guidance anddedicated resources to help families navigate complex school environments including:
- Guidance on securing faith-based accommodations in
- Direct support and reporting pathways for incidents of Islamophobia, anti-Ahmadi discrimination, or hate.
- Valuable educational resources and tools specifically curated for parents.
A Wealth of Educational and Practical Resources
Beyond our direct professional services, the AMJ Student Services platform hosts a comprehensive, specialized bank of resources curated to support students and families. Jama’at members can access up-to-date information onscholarships, as well as specialized materials tailored for various career pathways.
