By the grace of Allah, Saskatoon Southwest Jama’at successfully organized a World Religions Day Interfaith Symposium on the theme “Peaceful Coexistence” at Baitur Rahmat Mosque on January 23, 2026.
The event brought together individuals from diverse faiths and backgrounds to engage in meaningful dialogue and to strengthen bonds of understanding within the wider community. We were honoured to welcome approximately 90 non-Ahmadi guests, reflecting strong local interest in interfaith collaboration and mutual respect.
Among the distinguished attendees were First Nations Elder Ben Audrey, Saskatoon Police Chief Cameron McBride, Senator Tracy Muggli, MLA Darcy Warrington, and Deputy Mayor Randy Donauer. The symposium also welcomed leaders and representatives from Christian, Hindu, First Nations, and Sikh communities, further enriching the spirit of inclusivity and shared purpose.
The program featured thoughtful presentations and discussions highlighting the importance of compassion, respect, and cooperation in building a harmonious society. Speakers emphasized that peaceful coexistence is not merely an ideal but a shared responsibility that paves the way for stronger, more resilient communities.
This successful gathering reaffirmed the Jama’at’s ongoing commitment to fostering interfaith dialogue, promoting unity, and serving humanity.
