By the grace of Allah the Almighty, the Ahmadiyya Gazette Canada, currently in its 55th year of publication, has entered a new era of progress with the official launch of its new website.
About the Gazette
Since its establishment in 1972, the Gazette has remained the official publication of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at in Canada. For over five decades, it has served as a trusted source of spiritual and religious education and has documented the history of the Jama’at in Canada.
By Allah’s grace, the Gazette enjoys readership not only throughout Canada but also internationally.
It remains a matter of profound honour and blessing that Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his Helper), reads the Gazette and graciously conveys his pleasure through letters of appreciation. Huzoor’s love and encouragement continue to serve as a constant source of motivation for the entire team. Alhamdulillah!
The Launch Event
On Friday, February 13, 2026, the Ahmadiyya Gazette Canada marked a historic milestone with the official launch of its new website. The event took place at Aiwan-e-Tahir in Peace Village, Vaughan, Ontario.
Representing Respected Amir Sahib, Maulana Sohail Mubarak Sharma Sahib, Missionary-in-Charge, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada, was the guest of honour.
The formal program began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Furhan Hamza Qureshi Sahib, the Editor of the Gazette’s English section.
Welcome Address of the Chief Editor
This was followed by a welcome address by Maulana Hadi Ali Chaudhary Sahib, Chief Editor of the Ahmadiyya Gazette. In his address, Hadi Sahib mentioned that through the grace of Allah the Almighty and the prayers of Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih (may Allah be his Helper), the Gazette is entering into a new era of progress with the launch of its new website and mobile app, enabling it to better serve contemporary needs while remaining firmly rooted in its core values and standards.
Hadi Sahib stated that continuing the demanding work of printing and mailing a monthly magazine while simultaneously designing and developing a full-scale website required many long hours behind the scenes. He continued, “Despite numerous technical hurdles and limited resources, this work was completed through steadfast effort and dedication. Alhamdulillah!”
He also expressed his gratitude to several members of the Gazette team who played a pivotal role in planning and developing the new website:
“Mubashir Khalid Sahib, Manager of the Ahmadiyya Gazette, and Furhan Hamza Qureshi Sahib, English Editor, took the lead in website development and backend planning, and their tireless efforts were instrumental throughout this process. They were assisted by Hafiz Mujeeb Sahib and Umar Akbar Sahib, Assistant English Editors, who contributed to the preliminary planning and groundwork for the new website.
“Similarly, Bilal Ghumman Sahib and Saad Bin Mazhar Sahib constantly provided outstanding technical support as devoted volunteers, despite their very busy schedules.
“May Allah the Almighty bless them with His choicest favours and reward them abundantly for their meritorious services. Ameen!”
Website Launch
Respected Missionary-in-Charge Sahib then proceeded to officially launch the website after which he addressed the attendees. He mentioned that in this age, we are witnessing the fulfilment of the prophecy in the Holy Qur’an: “And when books are spread abroad” (81:11) through the mass publication of books and online media. Congratulating the Gazette team for producing a new website, he remarked that this step would usher in a new era of progress and advancement for the Gazette, Insha’Allah. At the end, he prayed that may the Ahmadiyya Gazette Canada continue progressing and expanding, and forever remain strong as the official publication of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada.
Appreciation Awards
The event also provided an opportunity to recognize several long-serving volunteers who have worked selflessly behind the scenes for many years.
After the remarks of Missionary-in-Charge Sahib, Mubashir Khalid, Manager of the Gazette, announced the names of the team members who were to be presented with Appreciation Awards for their ongoing services to Ahmadiyya Gazette Canada:

Conclusion
The event concluded with a silent prayer, led by Missionary-in-Charge Sahib.
Following the formal program, guests were served light refreshments.
Members of the National Majlis-e-Amila, former distinguished members of the Gazette’s editorial board, Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada’s Isha’at Team, as well as other honoured guests, were in attendance for the historic event.
The launch of the new Gazette website represents not only technological advancement but a renewed commitment to serving the Jama’at and preserving its history for future generations.
