On January 31, 2026, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya and Majlis Ansarullah Calgary organized a tabligh event in Drumheller, Alberta. The program as organized with the support of Maulana Hafiz Atta-ul Wahab Sahib, Missionary, Calgary Jama’at.
The topic of the program, “Jesus in the Bible and the Qur’an,” was selected to meaningfully engage the predominantly Christian community.
In the week leading up to the event, a Jama’at team visited Drumheller to distribute flyers and conduct outreach to local churches, seniors’ homes, community centres, and correctional facilities. Program details were also shared via social media, Eventbrite, and posters displayed at various public locations.
At the venue, Khuddam set up an interactive “Question Wheel” outside the library entrance, which attracted nearly 35 visitors and helped create a warm and conversational atmosphere even before the formal program began. Members of the local Alliance Church attended with their congregation, reflecting strong community interest in interfaith dialogue.
The formal program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a presentation delivered by Trainee Missionary Mashood Ahmad Sahib, who spoke on the status of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) in Islam and Christianity. Pastor Jody then presented the Christian perspective. A respectful and engaging question-and-answer session followed, during which church members inquired about the Holy Qur’an, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the Islamic understanding of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him).
Guests were presented with Jama’at literature, introductory books, and Baitun Nur Mosque souvenir cups. Light refreshments provided further opportunities for one-on-one discussions and meaningful exchanges.
The leadership of the Alliance Church expressed interest in organizing future collaborative programs, marking a positive step toward sustained interfaith engagement in Drumheller.
